Go with the flow: I am from Keyser, WV and I prefer to teach high school Social Studies. I believe that children learn the best when they are engaged and enjoy what they are doing. Social Sutdies is my favorite subject because I had teachers who made me want to learn it through "out of the box" activities. Assigning projects instead of book work, is an example of this. Even if the child isn't interested in doing the assignment, they will be more likely to put effort into it. I also think that it is important to be prepared for anything that can happen, to easily adapt, and go with the flow of things.
